HCA Nurse Residency Program (Intensive Care Unit (ICU))

StaRN Program(14 weeks total):

Our StaRN Program will provide you with the tools necessary to succeed in today's hospital environment. It will help you transition out of the classroom setting and onto the unit by providing the following training:
    6 weeks classroom, self-study, skills & simulations 8 weeks preceptorship Certification achieved:ECG, TeamSTEPPS, BLS/ACLS, CPI certifications After StaRN you will transition to ourProfessional Development Program:
      9 month program factored into your full time position in the Emergency Department ObtainCharge Nurse and Preceptor skills Partnered with a mentor to complete an evidence based Capstone Project (4 hours a month) Additional Information about Our ICU:
      --- You will work on a team providing care for medical and surgical patients who have the most serious needs including those experiencing surgical recoveries, brain injuries, cardiac difficulties, lung and breathing problems, serious infections, and critically ill or premature infants
      --- Our team works to provide care through, among other avenues, our advanced technology to include, remote monitoring, hypothermia therapy, CRRT therapy, and intra-aortic balloon pumps (IABP)

      QUALIFICATIONS

      --- Graduate of an accredited nursing school within the past 6 months

      --- Applicants may apply and be offered position prior to passing NCLEX exam

      --- Previous nursing support or service industry experience preferred

      --- Self-motivated and strong communication skills required
