Java Application Systems Analyst- Income and Wealth Planning- Omaha, NE Job no: ****** Work type: Full Time Regular Location: Nebraska Categories: Information Technology The Product Life & Annuity Team on behalf of the Income Wealth and Planning ART is looking for someone who enjoys challenges and is interested in new technology. Currently there is a need to implement technology stacks that include, but not limited to docker, azure cloud, enterprise api management, and building 12 factor applications. Essential Job Functions: * Development, maintenance, and integration of applications/systems that support the Life & Annuity operations. * Usage of build scripts and tools to support dev ops practices. * Leverage test and design first development. * Responsible for basic understanding of the business, business objectives and challenges that affect the current workflow. * Be a steward and follow the Company Information Services policies and standards * Ensure appropriate security and privacy measures are implemented to protect Customer and Company data from intentional or accidental misuse. * Pursue Operational Excellence in all endeavors, striving on a routine basis through identification and implementation of continuous process improvements. * This position requires extensive or prolonged typing/keyboarding. * This position requires sitting over 66% of the time. * This position requires Visual Acuity at 20 inches (or less) over 66% of the time. Minimum Qualifications: * 3+ yrs in Java/JEE/Spring Application Development and/or ReactJS framework * 3+ yrs in SQL * Knowledge of or ability to write/integrate HTML, CSS. * Experience with GEB and Spock testing frameworks * Excellent communication and collaboration skills * Ability to create technical design and flows that solve or enhance business capabilities * Ability to analyze issues, collaborate and determine/implement appropriate solutions * Ability to multi-task and adapt to changes in assignments. * Ability to adapt quickly to new technology and business requirements. * Awareness of different technologies and technology domains * Desire and willingness to learn and experiment. * Desire and ability to mentor others. * Bachelors Degree in related system and/or business related field of study (or equivalent work experience).
