It is the primary responsibility of the Ticketing Specialist to perform a variety of duties including ticket sales to all properties and internal shows/events, guest complaints, guest service and cash handling in the Ticketing Department. All duties are to be performed in accordance with the Core Service Standards while functioning as an ambassador to the hotel. - Sells and processes ticket orders/will call for shows/events at all properties utilizing prompt and courteous service to guests. - Provides answers to guest questions, furnishes detailed information regarding facilities and services, and is knowledgeable of detailed information for all of our properties. - Assists guests with modification/cancellation requests to ticket orders. - Handles and must balance to large amounts of cash/credit card charges daily. - Resolves guest complaints within the scope of authority, otherwise referring the guest to a Ticketing Supervisor for assistance. - Notifies supervisors and/or security of any unusual events, circumstances, missing items or alleged thefts. - Sets up/takes down stanchions as needed at all box office locations, and keep all work areas clean and organized. - Must become proficient with various internal computer programs, ie. Archtics, CLEO, VIPR, Information Station, Exadigm, etc. - Able to work in a hectic fast-paced environment, while maintaining a professional, courteous demeanor. - Performs all other job related duties as requested. Required: - Manual dexterity to access the computer via computer keyboard and remain standing before a computer monitor for extended periods of time. - Work indoors in a fast-paced, busy environment, with environmental conditions such as CRT fatigue, noise, dust and smoke. - Excellent customer service skills. - Have interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all business contacts. - Professional appearance and demeanor. - Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays. - Familiar with a keyboard. - High School diploma or equivalent. - Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and oral forms.
