The Physical Therapist is responsible for the assessment of referred patients, ranging in age from 18 years to geriatric who are experiencing medically complex conditions or medical surgical conditions requiring rehabilitation and/or wound care needs.
The Physical Therapist duties include:
Responsible to provide direct patient care to assess their medical condition, functional capabilities and limitations and restrictions and potential for rehabilitation..
Documents. prepares/reviews and completes plans of care, progess notes, order and other clinical record documentation.
To establish and administer a treatment program with specific goals determined according to the patients capacity and tolerance under the direction of the Physician.
Orders, assist, instructs patient and family in transfer techniques and equipment specific to patient diagnosis and needs
Educates patients and families in appropriate physical therapy methods.
Provides patient and family education reguarding procedures based on patient;s age, condition, and readiness
Over seeseas technicians, aids, etc
Perform duties consistent with patients needs and desires
applies concepts of infection control and precaution in coordinating, performing patient care activities for prevention purposes.
Performs additional duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
Graduate of an accredited school for Physical Therapy.
At least six months of experience directly related to duties and responsibilities.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
Current license for Physical Therapist in state of employment. Must maintain current Provider CPR certification throughout employment.
