Regular or Temporary:Regular Language Fluency: English (Required) Work Shift:1st shift (United States of America) Please review the following job description: Perform advanced level project management from project initiation through completion for strategic investments across the enterprise. Projects range in complexity scale and duration. Responsible for leading planning and development of all project deliverables, interfacing with different teams and business owners within BB & T, as well as third-party vendors. Focus on achieving (or exceeding) the business objectives and value measures associated with the project. Work with key stakeholders, including senior leaders and executives, as well as business unit relationship managers to clearly define project scope, vision and approach to meet business needs and achieve defined objectives. Lead the project team in definition and allocation project plans so that they can be managed and tracked appropriately. Collaborate with project stakeholders and project team members to ensure projects are documented, prioritized and executed to address project requirements and to mitigate potential project risks. Set milestones and effectively coordinate activities of team to deliver on project objectives. Define and lead the delivery of projects within the Project Office portfolio. Specific activities may change from time to time. 1.Provide leadership in managing critical day-to-day program/project elements including: project vision/objectives, financials, scope, quality, schedule, resourcing, vendor management, dependencies, risks, status reporting, stakeholder engagement, business readiness/change management, and value realization necessary to deliver specified requirements, objectives and value. 2.Document the project charter, roles, tasks and measures of success. 3.Provide leadership, vision and direction for both project team and business partners while working cross-functionally to solve problems and implement changes and ensure appropriate and professional communication among project stakeholders. 4.Manage projects through the project lifecycle. Evaluate progress and quality, manage issue resolution and take corrective action as necessary. 5.Ensure adherence to BB & T Project Office and other applicable Corporate policies and processes. 6.Develop quality business relationships so that customer needs can be anticipated and addressed. 7.Proactively develop innovative approaches, risk mitigation strategies and quality control. 8.Actively engage in development or oversight of the development of all documentation for project. 9.Assist in continuous improvement of Project Office processes. 10.Provide feedback to group managers regarding the work performance of members. Program Profile - Span of Impact: Corporation; multiple lines of business; Budget impact: $10,000,000 to $100,000,000; Timeline: corporate programs and strategic projects are complex and can range from one year to five years in duration; Program complexity: Medium to Large. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. 1.Bachelor's degree in Business or technology-related field, or equivalent education and related training 2.Six years of project management experience demonstrating ongoing career growth in complexity of projects and overall level of responsibilities within a professional environment 3.Eight years of applicable business experience inclusive of project management experience 4.Has achieved at minimum, Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) and advancing towards Project Management Professional (PMP) certification 5.Has knowledge in software development lifecycle in an enterprise environment 6.Ability to act as a steward and co-driver of enterprise project investment and include: delivery of multi-year long-term, large scale project investments, delivery of the business goals and objectives along with the value promise, achievement of intended project objectives and investment return, application of strong and consistent project governance and controls to mitigate investment risk, delivery of core competencies like scope, schedule, budget, quality, value and customer satisfaction and experience to proactively manage project risks and confidence to be objective and transparent with project stakeholders and corporate leadership 7.Goal-oriented and action-focused 8.Strong interpersonal, communication, negotiation and facilitation skills 9.Objective, transparent, fact-based and value-focused communication style 10.Ability to work effectively and efficiently toward goals in a complex, diverse environment with multiple and changing demands 11.Proven ability to direct the efforts of others 12.Experience with common productivity tools, including Microsoft Project and Microsoft Office 13.Knowledge of software development lifecycles in an enterprise environment 14.Ability to work with minimal supervision from senior project manager or team lead 15.Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office software products 16.Ability to travel, occasionally overnight Desired Skills: 1.Project Management Professional (PMP) certification 2.Three years of financial services-related experience managing large complex enterprise program initiatives BB & T is an Equal Opportunity Employer and considers all qualified applicants regardless of race, gender, color, religion, national origin, age, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, veteran status or other classification protected by law.
