Clearance Level (Required to Start): DHS ICE Clearance (Public Trust) Daily Job Responsibilities: * Oversees the day-to-day monitoring and management of Enterprise wide SolarWinds suite of tools in a cloud environment * Apply system analysis tools and techniques to resolve identified issues * Create proactive monitoring services to capture and report availability and performance trends * Manage SolarWinds Network Performance Monitor (NPM 12.0 and up) to include customizing dashboards, views, and charts * Creating and pushing scripts to network devices using SolarWinds Node Configuration Manager (NCM) * Configuring and troubleshooting SolarWinds Netflow Traffic Analyzer (NTA) * Assist functional support teams with SolarWinds Server & Application Monitor (SAM) * Configure/manage High Availability (HA) * Create maps within SolarWinds Network Atlas * Expert ability to generate custom reports at managerial request * Configure alerts with specific thresholds * Ability to manage, configure and troubleshoot inside the attached SQL databases * Create and update documentation and SOP's as the SolarWinds suite evolves * Perform user training/mentoring to junior analysts Required Skills: * A minimum of 5 years' experience SolarWinds management * Knowledge of SQL database and storage a plus * Amazon Web Services - AWS (VPC, Cloud Formation, MFA) * Windows Stack MCSE knowledge (cert not required) on Windows 2012, 2016, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, DFS, Group Policy, Clustering, IIS, etc. * Systems monitoring tool experience (Netsight, Cisco Prime, Splunk, SolarWinds) * Working knowledge of monitoring and alerting best practices Preferred Skills: * Virtualization experience (Hyper-V/ESXi) * Script Automation (PowerShell, Python, Bash) * Expert CCNA level switching/routing/troubleshooting * Current DOD Secret Clearance Degree Required/Equivalent Experience w/o degree: * Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 5 years SolarWinds experience (required) Certification Requirements: * Cisco CCNA (preferred) * SolarWinds Certified Professional (preferred) Travel Requirement: None Any additional info regarding work environment (e.g. core hours, shift work, remote work, flex time, etc.): We are a 24x7x365 operation.
