Have you always wanted to be an Emergency Department Registered Nurse, but never had the right opportunity? Here it is Christiana Care Health System is proud to announce our Emergency Department Nurse Fellowship Program for registered nurses beginning immediately. This unique program is a combination of classroom and clinical experiences. Participants will work under the supervision of experienced emergency nurses for the length of the program. Upon program completion, the participants will be hired as staff members in our Wilmington Emergency Department within Christiana Care Health System. This 26 week fellowship program prepares Registered Nurses for the rigor of an Emergency Department career, for those candidates qualified. Each day includes a robust agenda. This program offers opportunity to obtain ACLS and TNCC. You will spend at least on shift at Christiana and Middletown ED locations. Christiana Care in Newark, Delaware houses the only Level 1 Adult Trauma Center between Philadelphia and Baltimore. Wilmington Hospital is home to our Level III Emergency Department and helipad with aero-medical transport capabilities. We are a participating trauma hospital in the Delaware Trauma System. The emergency departments at Christiana Care's two hospitals and the free-standing emergency department in Middletown, Delaware treat a combined total of more than 180,000 patients each year, making our doctors, nurses and support staff among the most experienced emergency medical professionals in the region. Christiana Care's Emergency Department is ranked 24th in the United States and 12th on the East Coast in number of patient visits, according to data from the American Hospital Association. Requirements to qualify are: BSN required. BLS required. One year or more Nursing experience required. This Fellowship is only open to experienced nurses, who wish to work in our Emergency Departments. No new grads will be considered. Participants must also agree to sign a commitment agreement to work at the Christiana Care Health System for approximately two years as a member of the Emergency Department upon program completion. This location also offers diagnostic imaging, lab services and an on-site surgicenter. The Wilmington Hospital campus serves as Christiana Care's corporate headquarters and includes the Wilmington Annex, which hosts adolescent health services, an HIV program, a Community Health Access Program and the Wilmington Family Medical Center.
