Vice President of Finance/Chief Financial Officer Saint Martin's University seeks a collaborative and seasonedleader to partner with the President and senior leadership;cultivate a team environment; articulate and execute the strategicplan; manage growth; allocate resources; facilitate budget andcapital-project planning; and strengthen business, budget, andfinancial reporting and analysis.The PositionThe Vice President of Finance and Chief Financial Officer isresponsible for the on-going business, budget, and financialreporting and analysis needs of the University. Reporting to thePresident and serving as a member of the Executive Cabinet, theVice President provides leadership and supervision for the officesof finance, student financial services, business office, payroll,facilities, investments, purchasing, mail services, bookstore, andindirectly works with the President in overseeing InformationTechnology. The Vice President reviews and monitors contractualagreements of the University, leads the budgeting and auditprocesses, serves as staff liaison to the Finance, Audit,Facilities, and Investment Committees of the Board of Trustees, andworks closely with senior leadership and key members of thecommunity in articulating and implementing the University'sstrategic plan.The QualificationsRequired qualifications include a graduate degreein Business, Finance, or related discipline from an accreditedinstitution and designation as a Certified Public Accountant.Financial management experience within higher education ornot-for-profit institutions and administrative experience withon-going business, budget, and financial planning, reporting, andanalysis in an environment of limited resources are also essential.Preferred qualifications include excellent interpersonal andleadership skills, especially the ability to communicate financialinformation to diverse constituents; a high degree of personal andprofessional ethics, character, and integrity that inspires trustand confidence; and an interest in and ability to support theCatholic Benedictine tradition of the University.The UniversityFounded in 1895, Saint Martin's University is a CatholicBenedictine coeducational institution. The University offers 26baccalaureate and 10 graduate degree programs in four colleges andschools: the Hal and Inge Marcus School of Engineering, the Schoolof Business, the College of Arts and Sciences, and the College ofEducation and Counseling. The University has a student enrollmentof approximately 1,300 undergraduates and 250 graduates and a 12:1student-faculty ratio.
