Moffatt & Nichol's Anchorage office is actively searching for a Structural Engineer to lead and perform planning and design efforts for waterfront structures and marine infrastructures projects, including marinas, vessel mooring and berthing structures, bulkheads, breakwater and shore protection structures. Responsibilities and experience will include leading, managing, and performing on waterfront projects relating to: - Structural analysis, design, and detailing for concrete, steel, timber, etc. - Inspection and Rehabilitation of waterfront structures - Urban waterfront projects - NAVFAC projects - Construction Support Qualifications must include: - BSc in Civil Engineering required, Structural emphasis; Masters in Structural preferred - PE in Alaska, or ability to obtain PE through reciprocity within 6 months - 10-15 years experience developing projects from conceptual layout through the design process and construction. - Experience will include: - finite element modeling, - design / analysis of steel and concrete structures as well as site inspection - detailed design and preparation of drawings for precast concrete fender supports - calculations of fender energy/reaction - preparation and review of drawings - preparation of Technical Specification (concrete, steel, fenders, etc) - preparation of capacity assessment reports Moffatt & Nichol is a global infrastructure advisory firm of approximately 700+ employees in over 37 offices and 7 countries.
