Sound Physicians is eagerly seeking Hospitalists for moonlighting shifts at 50 bed LTAC in beautiful Springfield, MA. GREAT pay. FAST credentialing. Flexible scheduling. Fellows welcome!• Program size: 8 FTE• Hospital Beds: 50• ICU beds: 10• Open ICU• Patient Census: Day: 11-17 Admits (on average/daily): Day: 2 with spikes up to 8.• Number of Teams & Hours: 2 Day Teams: 7am-7pm• DUTIES: Rounds and Admits at LTAC consisting of higher acuity patients, equivalent to a step-down/ICU setting. • PROCEDURES/CODES: Vent Management and Intubations REQUIRED. Privileges granted for additional procedures performed require case logs. Daily Specialty Backup: Pulmonary, vent management, cardiology available for consults and to assist with procedures.CHARTING: HMR EMR System: Training on EMR and dictations systems will occur 1-2 days prior to first shift. Notes are written. Preprinted forms for notes. Vitals/orders/labs on computer. • Candidates with ICU/CC/PULM experience and candidates in fellowships are ideal.• CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS: BC preferred/BE with min 5 years of training. FP with relevant experience. CREDENTIALING: 3-5 Days for TEMP PRIVILEGES/Average credentialing timeframe: 60 daysLong-term acute care (LTAC) is the type of care provided at Vibra Hospital of Western Massachusetts.
