Sr. Information Security Engineer Description: Job Description The IT Security Manager may serve in a technical capacity in evaluating and designing security solutions and work with technicians throughout the program in implementing, maintaining and constantly improving the information security practice while managing and maintaining our efforts in the areas of Information Security, Governance, Risk and Compliance. Responsibilities: Lead a team that will manage and improve overall IT/Security Monitoring and Incident Response program using processes, procedures and automation Participate with the client in the strategic design process to translate security and business requirements into technical designs. Receive assignments in the form of objectives and establish goals to meet outlined objectives Oversee work on problems of diverse scope where analysis of client's data requires an evaluation of various factors and technologies. Ensure project schedules and performance requirements are met. Determine methods and procedures on new assignments and provide guidance to nonexempt personnel. Utilize security systems to detect, log and prevent unauthorized access and data loss Coordinate incident response across multiple teams while providing technical assistance Oversee management and deployment of security infrastructure including Vulnerability Management, WAF, Network Monitoring, Logging correlation, DDOS prevention and IPS/IDS Conduct proof of concepts, vendor comparisons and recommend solutions in line with business requirements. Oversee daily monitoring of security reports to identify issues and follow these issues to resolution Oversee security projects and the security testing of new and existing applications. Provide technical guidance on compliance requirements Work closely with Governance, Risk & Compliance teams Qualifications: Typically requires BS degree and years of prior relevant experience or Masters with years of prior relevant experience. 10+ years experience in IT Security with at least 3 year working as a security Architect Experience with CheckPoint, Palo Alto, FireEye, Imperva, Security Center, Splunk is required Strong knowledge of PCI, SOX, ISO and NIST security standards Experience with managing enterprise security projects 2-3 years working with penetration testing Excellent interpersonal and analytical skills Bachelors in Computer Science or related major Vendor security certifications or project management certification, a plus Leidos Overview:Leidos is a global science and technology solutions leader working to solve the worlds toughest challenges in the defense, intelligence, homeland security, civil, and health markets.
