We are seeking 8 Level I Help Desk Technicians for a 6+ month opportunity located in Columbus OH. We DO NOT WANT PEOPLE WITH years of experience. A year experience works out fine.



Job Type: Contract

Duration: 6+ months

Location: Columbus, OH

Pay Rate: $15/hour

Start Date: 1/5/15

Hours: Must Be Flexible working 2nd or 3rd shift

(ROUGH ESTIMATE HOURS): 2nd shift: 2:30PM-11:30PM or 3rd Shift: 10PM-6:30AM



The responsibilities are as follows:

- Ensures customer satisfaction by following up to ensure problem resolution; approaching problem solving from an overall solution perspective; resolving issues in a timely, respectful, considerate and concerned manner

- Strong interpersonal/customer relations skills

- Ability to maintain customer focus in the midst of difficult circumstances

- Excellent analytical, problem solving and trouble shooting skills

- Possess an energetic and enthusiastic approach to deliver superior customer service

- Receive incoming client calls

- Provide technical support and assistance to customers using computer hardware, standard desktop applications or client software applications

- Apply technical expertise to troubleshoot technical problems of call levels of complexity and provide resolution to reported issues

- Act as a liaison between clients or customers and other client IT organizations or external IT vendors

- Document all IT trouble tickets as they occur. Escalate to appropriate IT staff, and follow up as needed to ensure immediate resolution of critical issues.





Job Qualifications

- Must be willing to take a background test upon an offer being made

- 6 Months-1 years’ experience working in the IT Field

- One year related experience in technical support or customer service in a call center environment

- A+, MCP, MCSE, CNE or Network+ Certifications are a very big plus

- Ability to troubleshoot hardware, software and network related problems

- Strong hardware and network connectivity trouble shooting skills via phone and remote access

- Solid knowledge of Microsoft XP/7 operating system and Windows Server



All Pluses:

- Microsoft standard desktop applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio and Outlook

- Knowledge of Microsoft Active-Sync to configure mobile devices (iPhone and Android)

- Internet Explorer troubleshooting

- Basic Printer troubleshooting

- Active Directory

- Remote Assistance tools (Symantec, pcAnywhere, RDP)

- Laptop security (McAfee Endpoint Encryption)

- Virus/Malware removal (McAfee)

- Citrix/Terminal Services

- Software/Package Deployment (Altiris)

- Fundamental understanding of networking including TCP/IP, WINS, DNS, Enterprise Firewall and VPN

- Ticketing systems (Remedy, Service Now, FrontRange, HEAT)

- Must have excellent communication, presentation and documentation skills.
