This posting covers multiple openings for the position described. Responsible for setting a robust, structured, and function-based tone in the Software Quality Assurance (QA) group. Shapes the execution of Software Development and QA strategy, including remediation and risk mitigation. Participates in the execution of software testing and develops and executes test scripts and validate test results. Improves the automated test environment for user interface (UI) and non-UI testing. Establishes criteria for automating test scripts, reviews test cases, and provides automation. Advises on the design and maintenance of the QA environment, participates in load or performance testing, and writes automated test cases. Works with Software Developers to identify and resolve programming inconsistencies and opportunities that impact automated testing. Identifies, analyzes, and documents defects, questionable functions, errors, and inconsistencies in software program functions, outputs, online screens, content, and security. Follows QA and risk analysis testing procedures to ensure all software is defect-free and adheres to departmental standards to meet customer requirements. Follows the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and participates in QA reviews, requirements validation, and document specifications. Assists in the evolution of ThingWorx ThingWorx QA strategy and practices. Requirements: Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Software , Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Mathematics or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) plus 3 years of experience performing automated testing and software development for both front-end and back-end systems. Or, alternatively, a Bachelor's degree an and five years of experience as stated above. Also requires: (1) De Demonstrated expertise leveraging Java, JavaScript, and Shell scripting for so software automated testing activities; (2) Demonstrated expertise writing au automated tests for complex software applications on Windows and Linux pl platforms; (3) Demonstrated expertise leveraging QA software testing tools, in including Eclipse, GIT, and Selenium; and, and (4) Demonstrated expertise le leveraging Jenkins in a Continuous Integration environment.
