Job DescriptionMechanical Engineer Project Manager Seeking an opportunity for a motivated mid to senior level Mechanical Engineer/Project Manager for our Avon, Colorado office, Denver, and Fort Collins Office This growing office is located in the Vail Valley area, situated at the base of the Beaver Creek resort. This person must have experience in designing mechanical systems for facilities such as resorts, hospitality and commercial buildings. As a Project Engineer, this individual will supervise the work of junior engineers and/or technical support personnel assigned to the project. He/she must be able to effectively and efficiently manage their workload, while working with minimal supervision. Having experience in energy modeling is a plus. Experience and knowledge of the building codes is a must. Some travel is required as project needs demand.Experience7-10+ years’ experiencePrimary Responsibilities
  • Manages projects for success, responsible for project profitability and client satisfaction
  • Acts as the firm’s point of contact on assigned projects
  • Performs a variety of highly skilled duties
  • Assembles, coordinates and manages multidisciplinary technical teams
  • Conceptualizes initial design approach for mid to large sized projects
  • Have proven experience designing systems that support extreme weather conditions
  • Ensures execution of activities to achieve project goals
  • Meets project deadlines within budget
  • Attends project meetings, interviews, presentations and public hearings
  • Establishes work plan and multi-disciplinary staffing for each project phase
  • Directs activities of junior staff
  • Supervises project work of assigned staff
  • Ensures financial and project delivery activities of design and construction
  • Identifies causes of project scope revisions
  • Determines Add Services when appropriate
  • Assures compliance to contract terms with rigid cost control
  • Informs Principal-in-Charge of marketing opportunities
  • Promotes Business Development and positive client relationships
