Job DescriptionAbility Commerce is in search of a full-time Cisco Unified Communications (UC) Engineer to work with our professional team. This position is an exciting opportunity to work within the e-commerce hosting, contact center & corporate Cisco voice & data networking environment. This position is eligible to work from home within MN.Job Purpose: The UC Engineer will collaborate with all aspects of maintaining, configuring, and sustaining the Cisco VoIP environment including: analysis, design, implementation, maintenance of existing UC environment, upgrading/configuration, installation, migration of Cisco hardware/software. In addition, the UC Engineer will utilize a broad knowledge of unified communications, network, and telecommunications. Proficiencies in local area network/wide area network (LAN/WAN) operations are required to ensure optimum configuration and operation of all integrated systems.Principle Job Responsibilities:· Responsible for all aspects of maintaining, configuring, and sustaining the Cisco Unified Communications environment (VOIP, Video, IM, Webex, Contact Center) plus Microsoft Exchange integration.· Analyzes business requirements in order to assist in design and implement solutions in the UC environment.· Work with clients and stakeholders to solve for tactical operational issues while also creating long-term strategic UC & Contact Center technology roadmap.· Assist and collaborates with Network, Server, Storage and overall IT team and technology partners to develop network design for all UC applications.· Responsible for updating, participating, and assisting in develop of project plans and project management.· Working knowledge of LAN technologies (Layer 1, Switching, etc.) and collaborates cross-team in support of remote business units.· Keeps abreast of new developments in the industry and gains an understanding on how new and emerging technologies are implemented.· This position may require travel by car up to 20% of the time to local company offices and data centers.· 24/7 on-call responsibilities working with Cisco and other technology partners to troubleshoot/resolve issues.· Performs other job related duties as assigned.Preferred Qualifications:· Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field.· Minimum of 5 years related experience directly responsible for the following: Unified Communications Manager 10.x and/or higher, Unity Connection 10x and/or higher and UCCX 10.x and/or higher.· Project management experience with process disciplines.· Experience in call center operations.· Experience with Microsoft Exchange integration plus Cisco Jabber, WebEx, AQM and Finesse solutions· Understanding of Cisco Contact Center Express.· Experience with Voice Gateways (analog, digital and SIP) and dial plan design.· Understanding of and ability to configure Quality of Service (Campus and WAN).· Advanced knowledge of routing and switching including Voice Gateway and LAN switch configuration and troubleshooting as it relates to the VoIP environment.· Cisco Certified Network Associate (CNNA). Other Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: · Demonstrated strong and current technical experience of VoIP technologies, business continuity, and disaster recovery processes as they pertain to voice services· Expert levels of problem solving and analytical ability to analyze complex, detailed voice configurations, and manage same on a day to day basis.· Outstanding verbal and written communications skills.· Ability to establish and maintain effective work relationships with all levels of personnel both internally and externally; e.g. leadership, executives, clients, vendors, and agencies.· Ability to provide support off hours and for operational issues as required.· Document successful implementation techniques based on industry established best practices.· Requires diplomacy, facilitation skills, and the ability to manage conflict.· Current and demonstrated understanding of the business processes / constraints and ability to anticipate and plan for changing needs.· Understands the need for and consistently practices effective teamwork with others.· Ability to interact with IT personnel on all levels to resolve issues and provide solutions in a timely manner.· Capable of prioritizing and managing assignments and tasks to completion with minimal supervision.· Ability to maintain a detail oriented approach while multitasking in a fast paced environment.· Proficient in all currently supported technology standards in use at company.· Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedures manuals.
