For more information, visit online at Summary\\:This position contributes to the mission and vision of CHI Health by possessing practice experiences and demonstrates proficiency in a specialized area of nursing or any other clinical area. Demonstrates skills in, project management, clinical education and quality improvement. This position will be a change agent for strategic change throughout nursing and clinical practice.Essential Duties\\:Uses knowledge practice experience, , and critical thinking, to facilitate a multidisciplinary approach to promote quality care.Serves as a consultant to healthcare professionals and consumers within the health system and in the community. Must have ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a diverse and multi-cultural environment.Functions as a problem solver throughout the consultation process. Exercises a mentoring and coaching role with other team members.Establishes clear direction, sets stretch objectives, distributes the workload appropriately, and maintains two-way dialogue with others on work projectsDevelop, maintain and monitor educational programs in compliance with CHI Health accreditationstandards and policy.Collaborates with and/or participates in leadership councils, committees, and with peers to identify and facilitate the educational and clinical needs of the healthcare team. Participates in achieving nursing and/or clinical division and organizational goals and supports shared governance structure.Evaluates, communicates, and utilizes current research findings in practice, education, and consultation.Coordinates and facilitates education for healthcare team members, new clinical staff and students in multiple settings.Hours - 36 hours a week, week days. An occasional evening if there is a physician conferenceQualification:Qualifications\\:ExperiencePreferred\\:Minimum of five years of clinical practice such as a registered nurse, pharmacist, respiratory therapist; two years experience in area of specialty.Minimum of two-four years of nursing management in an operational, patient care area.Demonstrated experience in education facilitation and the successful leadership of interdisciplinary teams.Preferred\\:Experience with Lean Principles and willing to be certified in lean/six sigma within one year of hire.Education/LicensureRequired\\:Graduate of an accredited clinical healthcare program of nursing or related healthcare degree.Bachelor s in health care related fieldHolds a current Registered Nurse license within the compact state or other appropriate licensure.Preferred\\:Advanced Nursing, clinical degree or Advanced Degree in Health care related field i.e. Masters degree in nursing or Clinical Nurse Specialist, Nurse Practitioner, RN PhD, DNP, PharmD. or Registered Respiratory Therapist ( RRT)BLS is required upon hire. Acceptable credentialing bodies and certifications include the following\\: American Red Cross\\: CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer, American Safety and Health Institute\\: CPR, PRO, must say Professional Level-with AED , and American Heart Association\\: Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers.Knowledge/Skills/AbilitiesSkilled in oral and written communication, conflict resolution, time management, critical thinking, and decision making. Ability to work as a member of a team. Possesses leadership qualities congruent with organizational philosophy. Knowledge of and ability to operate computer / CRT. Job requires continuous verbal communication skills. Job requires frequent reading skills and written communication skills.
