This position is accountable for operationalizing the organization values within the PICU at IU Health North Hospital in Carmel, Indiana including clinical, people, service and financial excellence behaviors. This position exists to provide supervisory leadership and clinical support to a nursing unit, to provide assistance relating to administrative functions to the Director and to serve as a representative of the department and act as a liaison to other departments, physicians and individuals. Please contact us to request accommodation. Qualifications for the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit Manager of Clinical Operations Role * Basic Life Support certification required. Other advanced life support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies. * Requires a Bachelor of Nursing (BSN); Master of Nursing (MSN) preferred for new hires and promotions after August 1; 2003 other degree, certifications, experience and/or requirements may be required per unit/ department specialty. * Requires comprehensive nursing experience and documented leadership experience which is typically gained through five to eight years of progressive experience. * Support and mentor employees through the Career Advancement Program. * Communicate and collaborate effectively with all members of the multi- disciplinary team. * Build effective working relationships with the physicians. * Requires knowledge of state and national regulatory agencies Requires the ability to plan and manage the utilization of resources. * Ability to learn and apply the organization personnel policies and procedures. * Facilitate and lead work groups. * Requires effective written and verbal communication skills. * Promote teamwork and build effective relationships. * Requires strong customer service skills. * Requires ability to take initiative and meet objectives. * Requires a high level of interpersonal; problem-solving and analytical skills. * Requires familiarity with health care reimbursement environment. * Requires current State of Indiana licensure as a Registered Nurse.
