Lead AI Software Engineer (The Boston Consulting Group, Inc. - Los Angeles, California): Build, deploy and develop next generation Technology, Machine Learning, and AI solutions to enable the productivity of our clients and transform their businesses. Specific duties include: Apply Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning to solve problems in a variety of areas including personalization, text/sentiment analysis, natural language processing, human-computer interaction, event prediction, and computer vision across multiple industries; build AI based systems, tools, and services that serve as infrastructure for our internal and external clients; apply expert knowledge of software engineering to build complex systems for clients; bridge the gap between business and engineering by applying deep expertise in both disciplines and collaborate within a highly multi-disciplinary team of scientists, engineers, strategic partners, product managers and subject domain experts; and drive bleeding edge machine learning and AI models into production. Requires a Master's degree in cognitive science, psychology, statistics, machine learning or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) plus five (5) years of experience performing machine learning, and experimental methods and applying data modeling to software environments or, alternatively, a Ph.D. in aforementioned fields and two (2) years of experience performing machine learning, and experimental methods and applying data modeling to software environments. Specific skills/other requirements Must also possess the following (quantitative experience requirements not applicable to this section): working with algorithms, data structures, and object-oriented programming; programming in at least one of the following object oriented programming languages: Java, Scala, C++, or Python; applying knowledge of Machine Learning and Probabilistic Programing fundamentals to solve business or analytical problems; implementing Machine Learning algorithms and applications; utilizing at least one of the following modern Probabilistic Programming frameworks: Pyro, Stan, PyMC, JAGS or BUGS; developing software systems including REST APIs and deploying in cloud environments and on-premises; managing and collaborating with global and remote teams to deliver analytics and software solutions; leading engineering teams in addressing technical and delivery challenges; and two (2) years performing artificial intelligence methods within software environment including creating custom software solutions for Artificial Intelligence applications.
