The Applications Development Intermediate Programmer Analyst is an intermediate level position responsible for participation in the establishment and implementation of new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology team. The overall objective of this role is to contribute to applications systems analysis and programming activities.The Production Support Analyst will support critical business functions through the Deployment and Monitoring of Batch jobs for Global Standards and Analytics Information Systems in accordance with the established procedures. The Production Support analyst provides tier 1 application support for troubleshooting jobs relating to production systems by assessing issues raised, developing solutions, testing and implementing into production. The Production Support Analyst is also responsible to ensure all project source materials are maintained in the code source control library. The Production Support Analyst will also assist with production support automation where applicable.Responsibilities:Utilize knowledge of applications development procedures and concepts, and basic knowledge of other technical areas to identify and define necessary system enhancements, including using script tools and analyzing/interpreting codeConsult with users, clients, and other technology groups on issues, and recommend programming solutions, install, and support customer exposure systemsApply fundamental knowledge of programming languages for design specifications.Analyze applications to identify vulnerabilities and security issues, as well as conduct testing and debuggingMonitors production systems, scheduling tools, jobs and processes and troubleshoots to resolve issues including on call rotation for weekendsResponding to and addressing problems identified by users and by monitoring processesDeployment of source code to Production and UAT (testing) environments within established SLAsCollaborate closely and provide services to developers, analysts, and other technology resources with a constant focus on continuous process improvementActively identify areas of improvement to ensure system stability and ease of maintenanceSupport infrastructure update and maintenancePerform regular scheduled maintenance workThis position may require work hours to be flexible including early morning, late evenings and weekends.Constantly evaluates the production support environment for gaps and automation opportunities. Has the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision. Can exercise independence of judgement and autonomy. Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.Qualifications:2+ years in a production support role troubleshooting, analyzing and providing root cause analysis and issue resolutionMust possess a working knowledge in the following technologies:T-SQL/ SQL Server Query LanguageSQL Server Stored ProceduresSSIS PackagesSSRS ReportsMicrosoft Office Product (Word, Excel etc.) including experience working with CSV and other text-delimited filesC# / .NET experience preferredPowershell experience preferredKnowledge of IIS preferredKnowledge of one or many of the following is a plus: Autosys, Unix shell scripting TFS, Windows O/S, programming experience in .NET technologies, mainframe/JCL technologiesProvide on-call support after normal business hours and weekends to resolve production issues according to rotation scheduleDemonstrates a proven record of success with a thorough understanding of Change Management, Configuration Management and Release management principlesAbility to thrive in a challenging, extremely fast paced environment. Ability to manage multiple projects & tasks with multiple prioritiesA team player with excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong organizational skills.Experience documenting processes and proceduresDetail oriented with ability to follow documented procedures accurately and consistentlyMust have a service oriented attitude with excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
