Job Title Production Control Analyst Location Olympia, WA Duration 3 years No of positions 2 Typical Work Identifying and analyzing data and developing reports and other communications to provide meaningful information for decision-making, prioritizing resources, responding to requests and for future planning etc. Identifying and analyzing risks associated with change, recommending mitigating measures and solutions Effectively communicating information for the purpose of having others learn, understand and apply specific principles, techniques or information. Converting data from project specifications and statements of problems and procedures to create or modify computer programs. Preparing, or receiving from systems analyst, detailed specifications to describe sequence of steps that program must follow and input, output, and logical operations involved. Analyzing specifications, applying knowledge of computer capabilities, subject matter, and symbolic logic. Be able to work weekends, holidays and assist in maintaining 247365 coverage Perform first level monitoring of MVS zOS system and respond to outstanding messages as required Resolve batch failures, including JCL errors and space problems Follow escalation procedures to resolve problems in a timely manner Create PRs for production ABENDs and outages Proactively identify potential risks to data quality and security Monitor availability of all mainframe and server applications Ability to make decisions guided by policies and circumstances Make use of available documentation to resolve errors, update and maintain said documentation Knowledge of and ability to meet Service Level Agreements and other standards for the job Ability to recover lost, missing or corrupt data and reports Ability to work effectively under pressure and react timely to problem situations Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks concurrently Support a Root Cause culture to ensure that a true resolution is achieved for all problem or performance incidents Mandatory Requirements Possess the required experience working in an environment that uses JCL and Possess the required experience analyzing and evaluating proposed system changes and estimating work effort to implement those changes Possess the required experience with utilizing structured, industry standard, SDLC processes Possess the required experience working with data transformation tools Must be able to perform complex problem determinations for abnormal job terminations by using IBM utilities and onsite documentation and escalate to the appropriate teams when problems arise. Possess the required experience for the first level monitoring of the Mainframe and Server applications. Possess the required experience in the zOS environment, Omegamon, TWSOPCE Scheduling Systems, FTP, MQ, SMTP, SFTP and a basic understanding of networks and protocols. Must have a good working knowledge of Job Control Language (JCL), JES2, IBM System Utilities, TSOISPF Must have a good working knowledge of automated batch job scheduling systems Maintain the Production Control disaster recoverybusiness continuity plans. Participate in disaster recovery testing as required. Desired Qualifications Possess the required experience in using TSO Possess the required experience working in an environment that uses OPC scheduler Possess the required experience working in a MicroFocus Environment Possess the required experience with MS Office products A basic understanding of EBT, EFT, HBE, WaConn, Eserv, ACES Online, ACES 3g and the ACES Legacy systems. Basic understanding of SharePoint site maintenance. At least 3 years experience in LINUX, IMS, DB2, FTP, Cypress, Omegamon
