Description Job Description The Homeland Security Solutions Operation within Leidos is looking for a Systems Architect to provide leadership on a mission-critical program in the Enterprise Architecture team within Passenger Systems Program Directorate (PSPD) in Customs and Border Protection (CBP). PSPD supports the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and CBP critical missions, specifically screening and processing travelers at the ports of entry (POEs) into the United States. The Systems Architect plays a key role in Enterprise Architecture team. The Systems Architect will provide the solution strategy, application design and development, cloud migration and assist in execution of systems and infrastructure information technology (IT) and support services using Agile methodologies and DevOps practices. The Systems Architect will visualize, analyze, model, and maintain all systems, software, processes and architectures. The Systems Architect will use hisher self-motivation to show initiative to identify, research, design, develop, and promote solutions that enhance the modern development environment Primary Responsibilities The Systems Architect is responsible for dividing large and complex systems into manageable subsystems that can be handled by individual teams engineers, especially how other systems and users will interact with the deliverable. Recommend the technologies and resources to be used in its design and implementation. Defines system solutions based on userclient needs, cost, and required integration with existing applications, systems, or platforms. Works with Enterprise Architecture team and assists in development of policies for standardizing systems, development tools Must be a self-starter, strong leader, and have the ability to work independently with little supervision. Basic Qualifications 12 - 15 Years of experience in software architecture design and development, Extensive understanding and experience visualizing, analyzing, modeling, and maintaining systems, software, processes and architectures. Experience with the C4 model for visualizing software architecture ( Experience with modern architecture diagraming software, especially Sparx Enterprise Architect tool. Experience creating and maintaining these diagram types context diagrams container diagrams deployment diagrams sequence diagrams timing diagrams dependency diagrams entity relationship diagram (ERD) requirements traceability diagrams activity diagrams state machine diagrams component diagrams data modeling business processes relationship matrix Demonstrated experience designing and implementing complex IT solutions on a large Program Demonstrated experience designing and modernizing complex enterprise networks and legacy IT systems, including developing effective COOPDR solutions Excellent communication and written skills Ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance BABS or equivalent experience and 12 - 15 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 10 - 13 years or prior relevant experience.
