Our Exciting Opportunity:

In June 2019, Ericsson announced its intention to build a state-of-the-art 5G Smart Factory that will produce 5G and Advanced Antenna System radios to boost network capacity and coverage to meet the demand for rapid 5G deployments in North America. The U.S. Smart Factory will be the first greenfield 5G factory in the US and will serve as a showcase for next generation technology that will craft future ways of working.

The Smart Factory has begun commercial operations in early 2020 and will be powered by Ericsson 5G solutions tailored for the industrial environment. Fast and secure 5G connectivity will enable agile operations and flexible production. Ericsson's 5G industrial solutions include automated warehouses, connected logistics, automated assembly, packing and product handling, and the use of autonomous carts.

We are now looking for an Artificial Intelligence Software Engineer to work on implementing Smart Manufacturing use cases in our Lewisville Production Site. You are responsible for understanding the business problems, identify and apply the best artificial intelligence or Machine Learning technologies to develop the appropriate models or to prototype the solutions. Our focus is on Lean and Agile methodologies. We coordinate in multi-functional development teams in which continuous improvement, innovation and information sharing is part of the daily work.

You will:

--- Drive strategic technical leadership, challenge existing technologies and be responsible for design, development, integrate and documentation using groundbreaking engineering and delivery practices

--- Perform continuous analysis with an outstanding local and global teams to build industrial & cloud-based systems and solution in consultation with external and internal partners

--- Prototype, design, develop and test high quality products

--- Influence and drive exciting, meaningful product development

--- Drive continuous improvements of products and processes

To be successful in the role, you must have:

--- Bachelor and/or master's degree in computer science engineering or related fields, who has strong background in Artificial Intelligence, Cognitive Computing or Machine Learning technologies

--- Minimum of 7 to 10 years' experience in software or automation design and development

--- Strong experience in any of the following programming languages: C#, Python, Java

--- Hands-on knowledge of the .NET framework, SOA (Service Oriented Architecture) or OPC-UA (Open Protocol Communication - Unified Architecture)

--- Hands-on experience with Agile development methodology and framework.

--- Experience with architecting implementing application appropriate technology and communication protocol stacks

--- Innovating, collaborative approach, networking, adapting and responding to change

--- Strong planning and prioritizing skills and ability to deliver results and meeting customer expectations

You might also have:

--- Knowledge of industry 4.0 landscape and IIoT (Industrial Internet of Things) solutions.

--- Experience with industrial robots, controllers and real-time control network

--- Experience in data science and machine learning models.
