Procurement Manager, New Product DevelopmentFunction: Supply ChainDepartment: ProcurementDivision : Professional BeautyLocation: Petit-lancy, GenevaContract Type: Permanent Contract Role DescriptionThe New Product Development Manager is part of the Professional Beauty procurement division to deliver the initiative portfolio as well as technical and productivity projects. This position works closely with suppliers and internal technical stakeholders throughout R&D packaging, supply planning, global project teams, manufacturing, plant procurement, whilst also partnering with marketing, design, and finance departments.The role requires brand and marketing strategy understanding as well as a broad knowledge of primary and secondary packaging technologies and third party manufacturing. Deliverables:Cost & Cash: Pack Materials and Third Party Manufacturing prices meeting piece price value targets.Brand margin improvement (C1 target).On time supply chain and pricing set up: meet the initiative constrained timing to enable the company to reach its net revenue targets. Representative activitiesManage sourcing RFQ's, supplier negotiations at project level, and business awards aligned with Category Procurement.Report price estimates, risks on MOQ's, and C1 target as well as lead-time constraints to the project teams ahead of key initiative decision gates.Challenge Marketing and Packaging teams on Design-to-Cost / Value engineering principles to ensure specifications optimization and cost alternatives while fitting to business functional requirements.Provide innovative solutions to the project teams.Implement and lead projects. Tracks results and savings.Apply the best category strategy to the specific needs of the Division by partnering with Global and Regional Category teams and key internal stakeholders.Strong collaboration with Strategic Operations Procurement to ensure right sized initiative set ups as well as flawless initiative handover for start of production.Apply the best category strategy to the specific needs of the division by partnering with Global and Regional Category teams and key internal stakeholders.Align strategy and tactics with all key stakeholders across technical and commercial functions for the launch of new products. Required education, experienceA Bachelor Degree in Business Administration or Engineering is required, Master degree a plus.One to three years of relevant experience working in direct procurement. Experience in sourcing primary and secondary packaging is a strong advantage.Languages: English bilingual required, French or other language is a plus. Core capabilities and competencesStrong collaboration & communication skills: both within the procurement organization and outside with business and technical stakeholders. Can easily navigate through the organization to remove roadblocks to achieve objectives.Results driven in a changing environment, the NPD buyer embraces change while keeping objectives on target.Strong multi-tasking capabilities: can manage several projects with their own supply chain challenges and in different stage of completion.
