Cybersecurity Engineer - Maritime Operational Technology We re actively seeking candidates for an exciting consulting engagement with our direct client near Miami, FL. This is an excellent opportunity to showcase your knowledge and abilities as a maritime cybersecurity subject matter expert. Responsibilities The Maritime Cybersecurity OT engineer is responsible for helping execute the Maritime Cybersecurity strategy and program initiatives for a major cruise line The role will serve as a subject matter expert to peers and leaders across the organization s shipboard lines of business regarding maritime cyber risks. The role will be an individual contributor providing cyber risk mgmt. and assurance expertise so that systems located within or connected to company s shipboard environments consisting of OT navigationbridge, marine engineering (ICS, SCADA), and IT hotel operations systems, have been implemented and maintained, adhering to maritime cybersecurity guidelines and corporate information security standards. This key position will also help influence IT and maritime business units to raise awareness of the maritime cybersecurity program and their role in ensuring the safety of our passengers, crew, and maritime ITOT systems. Required skillscompetencies Minimum 3 years of experience within Operational Technology (OT), Industrial Control Systems (ICS), or SCADA type systems. Ability to ensure that maritime cybersecurity technology intended to protect shipboard systems and information is configured and operating per established standards Skilled in reviewing technical standards, architecturalengineering diagrams, and procedures for shipboard and new build I.T. and marine operations units Ability to review, interpret, and explain complex maritime cyber guidelines and future regulations such as BIMCO Cybersecurity Guidelines for Ships, U.S. Coast Guard security requirements, and International Maritime Organization (IMO) to peers, IT management, staff, and non-technical team members Competent knowledge and experience with Marine or Industrial Engineering OT systems (ICS, Engine Control, HVAC, Water Treatment, Power Generation Management) or Navigation Systems (ECDIS, GPS, Dynamic Positioning Systems, Voyage Management Systems). Must have understanding of Apple, Linux and Windows Operating systems. Must have understanding of TCPIP networks and the OSI stack. Knowledge of I.T. systems (applications, networks, etc.), information security products (i.e. firewalls, IPS, SIEM, proxy) or application securityvulnerability testing toolstechniques. Ability to identify and recommend prioritized remediation activities based on risk to the overall shipboard enterprise Understanding of cybersecurity controls related to a number of cybersecurity frameworksguidelines such as NIST Cybersecurity Framework or BIMCOCLIAICSINTERCARGO Cybersecurity Guidelines Understanding of OTICSSCADA cyber system anomaly detection methodologies and tools.
