AVA Consulting is seeking a Drivetrain Evaluation Technician Location Ann Arbor, MI U.S. Citizens and those authorized to work in the U.S. are encouraged to apply. Duration 12 Month + Company Background Our client, a major employer in the area, is looking for a Drivetrain Evaluation Technician to be part of a project management team in its North American headquarters. Description MUST BE AVAILABLE FOR MINIMUM 2 MONTH STINTS OF SHIFT ROTATIONS TO SUPPORT 24 HOUR OPERATION This position will initially start on 2nd shift (3pm-1130pm) Install, remove and repair hybrid units automatic transmissionsengines in vehicles dyno cells Teardown, build up, inspect and modify internal parts of automatic and hybrid transmissions Support testing in TransmissionHybrid Dynamometer test cells including data collection Data Acquisition and instrumentation set-upoperation in vehicles dyno test cells Internal and external transmission parts measurements and pictures w report Preparation of Noise and Vibration, Strength, and Telemetry equipment along with this testing Requirements Associates Degree in Automotive Technology or equivalent experience (Transmission ASE cert is a plus) Minimum 2-Year working level experience with Transmission Dynamometer Test Cells Strong enginetransmission repair electrical background with Hybrid Powertrains a plus Strong evaluation problem-solving skills Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment and any shift for a 24-hour testing environment Measurement Equipment experience Proficient experience with Microsoft programs such as Excel, PowerPoint, and Office Proficiency in reading, understanding, and interpreting blueprints and other technical data Proficient in using measuring tools (i.e. Vernier calipers, Micrometers, Dial Indicators, etc.) Works well independently without supervision Flexible work hours and ability to work overtime including weekends Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, twist, reach, pullpush, lift up to 60 pounds Welding and Fabrication experience to modify measurement set-up fixtures Cad Experience (Solidworks, Catia, etc.) (Bachelor degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering is a plus) Good driving record Education LevelAssociatesTechnical Degree NOTE - Interested Candidates can apply by sending their Updated Resume and Contact Details.
