Overview Mayvin -- is currently seeking an experienced Assistant Armorer to assist the LOGSUPPU-2 Civilian Armorer in day-to-day Armory operations. This position will be located on Joint Expeditionary Base-Little Creek, VA. You must be a U.S. citizen to be considered. A Secret Clearance will be needed on day one of employment. This position is contingent upon contract award. Responsibilities * Have thorough knowledge of the principles of operation, disassembly/reassembly procedures and troubleshooting of NSW and SOCOM specific weapons, Visual Augmentation Systems (VAS) and weapon accessories from here to be referred to as Combat Weapons Systems (CWS). * Conducts assessments and required repairs to all CWS to include depot-level repairs to applicable systems. * Assists in CWS inventory, storage, receipt, issue, and movements to meet all security and safety regulations. Qualifications Education: * Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution is highly preferred but not required * Graduated from a DOD Armorer course is highly preferred but not required. Clearance: * Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Current Secret Clearance is required. Required * Must meet Lautenberg Amendment (Gun Control Act of 1968) requirements. * Must be able to lift items up to 75 lbs. * Must have at least three years' experience repairing small arms.
