Job Description Direct the overall activities of the manufacturing facilities of the plant to ensure customer orders are received, scheduled, produced and shipped at the lowest possible cost to meet the customers' requirements while maintaining corporate established quality standards. Additional responsibilities include: Analyze plant operations to ensure that the facility maintains a leadership position Manage plant P&L, including MIP, shrink, labor, overhead and expenses. Drive, lead and apply Continuous Improvement methodologies, techniques and engineering Support annual manufacturing budget planning and management in accordance with forecasted sales Manage the implementation of plant capital budget. Partner with finance to ensure that end of month closing schedules are met. Ensure that appropriate standard operating procedures (SOP's) are developed and maintained Implement plant safety programs and ensure compliance with good manufacturing practices (GMP's). Responsible for Non-GMO activities in accordance with customer and/or regulatory standards Responsible for all corporate, customer and government audits to ensure compliance. Maintain environmental compliance. Collaborates with other plant managers within group to share best practices. Act as a liaison with Distribution, Supply Planning, Sales and Customer Service Actively lead and support employee engagement, development and training Maintain proper staffing levels, employee performance evaluations Responsible for overall succession planning and development of plant leadership team. The Successful Applicant Bachelor's Degree. Extensive experience in leading plant operations. Experience within the consumer good sector is essential Strong financial and business acumen; demonstrated understanding of costs Must be able to train and supervise staff, formulate policy, and direct activities. Ability to assess, evaluate, and solve problems. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, ERP experience required, SAP a plus. Excellent verbal/written communication skills. Experience in successfully influencing, leading, coaching, motivating and leading a team i Ability to adapt to changing organizational and operational needs. Strong team player with the ability to work across multiple functions and disciplines. Skill in organization, prioritization, and attention to detail.
