The Sr. Sales Authentication Specialist is the technical expert and presales consultant for customer authentication for the worldwide sales team. They work closely with the SaaS teams at EBSCO to help sell and support OpenAthens and Single Sign-On services. The Sales Authentication Specialist will also develop an in-depth relationship with the OpenAthens organization to increase sales and partnership efforts with EBSCO. Primary Responsibilities: Act as a presales consultant and expert for the OpenAthens, EBSCO Single Sign On (SSO), and other emerging authentication technologies for the worldwide sales team Work with library, IT, and technical teams interested in OpenAthens or other EBSCO authentication services Communicate technical, sometimes complex concepts to the worldwide sales teams to help win sales and ensure renewals Work closely with the SaaS Account Executive to provide customer demos and help with customer follow up Assist SaaS Trainer with development of curriculum and collateral for the company learning management system and scheduled internal webinars. Work closely with EBSCO Authentication product managers to disseminate customer feedback and keep Sales teams apprised of any changes to EBSCO platform authentication Collaborate with the OpenAthens sales, technical support and marketing team in Bristol, U.K. Engage with third party vendors on behalf of customers to resolve authentication issues Work with the OpenAthens and SSO implementation and technical support teams within EBSCO to help prioritize work, answer questions and resolve issues Build OpenAthens proofs of concept where needed and work with the sales team to present them to customers Help create and deliver OpenAthens price quotes as well as working with sales management on possible pricing deals Collaborate with the EBSCO marketing team to review related security questionnaires, compliance documentation, and Request for Proposal/Information forms Coordinate and collaborate with Marketing to help provide input on both internal and customer-facing marketing materials Engage with EBSCO and OpenAthens product management as needed Sit in on trainings of new and veteran sales reps to increase understanding of OpenAthens and SSO Manage and/or collaborate on authentication-related company projects as needed Responsible for working with the EBSCO and OpenAthens accounting team to generate monthly royalty and quote reports Assist the sales team with entering orders and adjusting existing orders as needed Travel: EBSCO conference and off-site meeting attendance, as needed. Position is based in the Ipswich, MA office Cultural Competencies: Motivated self-starter Positive Attitude Good Judgement Bias for Action Open Communication Collaboration Desire to Make an Impact Team Player Accountable Decisive Requirements: 2+ years working with a sales or sales support team 4-year college degree or equivalent work experience Experience working with and/or speaking with customers about authentication solutions Strong bias for action; proven ability to multitask, take charge and problem solve Ability to occasionally (10%) work off hours based on sales and customer need (i.e. international training or customer calls). Extremely comfortable talking on the phone with customers, sales reps and other EBSCO personnel Preferred Qualifications: Direct experience with library systems or library environment Understanding of current authentication landscape as it relates to enterprise level authentication Proficiency in authentication protocols such as; IP/Proxy, SAML, Oauth, OpenID Connect (OIDC), CAS, SIP2 Understanding of API technology and systems interoperability EBSCO Industries, an equal opportunity employer and complies with all applicable federal, state, and local fair employment practices laws.
