SunIRef:it Information Technology Supervisor (DOR) #13988 State of Missouri - Jefferson City, MO Salary Range: $55,405 - $83,436 annually ($2,308 - $3,477 semi-monthly) Posting Date: January 24, 2020 - open until filled Job Location: Jefferson City Job Posting #13988 Position #3192 Essential Functions and Responsibilities: This is a manager level position responsible for the development and maintenance of Department of Revenue systems, as well as project and resource management. This position is responsible for strategic direction for all development and maintenance activities in his/her area. Self-initiative, problem solving skills, and the ability and desire to continually learn are essential. This is a dynamic team with a roster of new development projects currently in the planning and development stages. This position is responsible for approximately 30 total staff, directly supervising 5 to 10. The successful candidate will possess significant experience with all aspects of managing staff, along with the ability to clearly and effectively communicate to staff and stakeholders expected outcomes and impacts. Duties: Act as a liaison between application development and different functional/business teams and coach team members to; continually deliver high quality solutions that exceed customer expectations and provide outstanding customer service. Cultivate strong relationships that encourage personal and technical development in your team as you mentor, communicate expectations, monitor and provide advice on performance. Utilize Microsoft Azure DevOps to coordinate and monitor work products to build, enhance and maintain software solutions and monitor on-going maintenance work items, establish reporting metrics and benchmarks that provide feedback on development pipeline and team performance to stakeholders. Communicate status to users, stakeholders, customers, steering committees and internal/functional IT teams. Ensure comprehensive testing of all development work to achieve the highest quality releases possible. Provide value added Level of Effort (LOE) input in State Fiscal Notes and future projects. Act as a catalyst for continuous improvement in the solution portfolio and development processes. Required Skills: Ability to effectively prioritize and assign work in order to meet deadlines. Demonstrate strong leadership, facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution skills and the ability to champion continual improvement, empowerment, and drive increasing transparency. Ability and desire to quickly learn new technologies and effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical people. Process improvement and lean methodology knowledge highly desirable Ability to work on multiple projects or tasks at the same time in a fast-paced environment and adapt easily to changing tasks. Familiarity with web based technology, HTML5, . NET, ASP. NET, ASP. NET MVC, C#, SQL Server (database design and programming), COBOL.
