JOB DESCRIPTION: The Network Administrator will oversee the delivery of network solutions to support the continuous operations. From the design-and-implementation phase, to operations, you will be an integral part of the gathering of network requirements, development of low-level design documents, and the turn-up of solutions to support network demands. You will be responsible for the performance and availability of network services including monitoring, installing, testing, maintaining, troubleshooting and securing network equipment/facilities. You will be required to demonstrate strong skills in the areas of automation, communication, innovation, technology, problem-solving, service design, and working within a team to (maximize/produce) results. You will report to the Manger, Global Networks, Telecom & Data Center or designee, and will be part of a highly skilled team of network and infrastructure personnel that deliver solutions that are always available, drive towards lower costs, while achieving low and consistent latency. We are looking for an individual that possesses the ability to work efficiently through existing department processes and procedures. You should be able to provide project management and overall experience with network/infrastructure operations, projects and initiatives. The ideal candidate is multi-functional, highly organized, detail-oriented, project focused, and a self-motivated team player who is also resourceful, a proactive problem solver with excellent communication skills, and is able to meet aggressive project deadlinesEDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: * Four-year degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience * CCNP (Routing and Switching) certification required * CCIE (Routing and Switching) certification (preferred) * Minimum 7 years experience delivering infrastructure design and operational excellence * 5+ years of experience using Cisco L3/L2 switches & routers in a multi-site environment (Cisco NEXUS experience highly regarded). * 5+ years of experience troubleshooting TCP/IP and Ethernet networks. * 2+ years of BGP, OSPF and/or EIGRP routing (preferably in a multi-gigabit environment). * Exceptional knowledge of service and application delivery, as well as successful service level agreement accomplishments * Able to work independently but function well in a team environment; must be self motivated * Possess excellent analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving abilities * Proven analytical and process redesign skills- including problem solving, quantitative reasoning, workflow process, etc. * Experience in the interpretation of applicable local and federal laws/regulations to company operations TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED: * Proficient understanding of Layer 2 and 3 inter-networking technologies * Sound understanding and working knowledge of TCP/IP, access-control lists, policy-based routing, firewalls, peering, and DNS * Design, implementation, and troubleshooting experience with protocols such as OSPF, MPLS and BGP in an enterprise environment * Ability to comprehend, analyze and research problems of a complex nature, make judgment decisions and recommendations as to their solution * System and Network Security - Switches, Routers, Load Balancers, Wireless Controllers, SMTP Gateways, IPS, Firewalls, Anti-virus, Dual Factor Authentication, Encryption Databases, Network Acceloration (WAAS) * Switching technologies: Spanning-tree, link aggregation; VLANs, trunked interfaces * Routing technologies: Static routing; EIGRP, BGP, OSPF; HSRP; GLBP; layer-3 QOS * Business Continuity - Back Up, Recover, Archival, Fail-over - provided by Dice
