The Registered Professional Nurse in the Operating Room is responsible for assessing, planning, Implementing and evaluation of perioperative nursing care.-- Communicates with surgeon and anesthesiologist continuously and as needed about patient condition.--3 or more years of previous experience in Perioperative nursing.Current BCLS certification.Current ACLS certification preferred.Current CNOR certification preferred.
Responsible for direction of patient care in the perioperative setting.-- Manages staff members in the unit.-- Consults with staff, physicians and Director of Surgical Services regarding nursing problems and interpretation of hospital policies to ensure patient needs and safety are met.-- Maintains performance improvement activities and assists in formulating budget.
