Imagine your career at?Catholic Health Initiatives! ? ?The RN Clinical Coordinator will provide support to the OR RN Supervisor, OR Manager and OR Director within specific service lines to coordinate the evaluation, ordering and implementation of equipment and supplies while working collaboratively with the Sterile Processing Department and service line physicians. ?
Job ResponsibilitiesWorks with materials management, sterile processing staff and Surgical Technologist Clinical Coordinator to inventory specialty items, manage outdates on products, and speak with vendor representatives about costs and requested products.Coordinates with the Sterile Processing manager, vendors and surgeon offices for specific surgical procedure needs.Has the responsibility and accountability to work in collaboration with his/her surgeon specialty groups to identify required equipment and new procedures for their surgical service line.Is the direct resource for the surgeon when issues need to be resolved regarding equipment or personal preference cards.Works with Surgical Technologist Clinical Coordinator and Billing & Documentation Specialist on preference cards and preference card changes.
Job Requirements
We are looking for a responsible and compassionate Registered Nurse with top-notch clinical skills, a caring attitude, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. It is also important to display excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills as well as the ability to effectively educate patients and their families on the in-home healthcare process.

Additional requirements for this role include:

  • Active RN licensure in Nebraska or Iowa. Nebraska and Iowa are compact states so must be licensed in the state of residence. BLS and ACLS required upon hire.
  • 2 years experience in an acute care surgical setting or 2 years experience in perioperative nursing in Surgical Services. Nursing experience with demonstrated teaching skills, leadership and teamwork qualities. Knowledge of current nursing practices and trends in health care delivery related to perioperative nursing. Knowledge of AORN and Joint Commission standards. Knowledge of department organization and structure and demonstrated skills in oral and written communication and general computer acuity. Ability to work with different levels of education and backgrounds.
