We have an exciting Full#Time opportunity with our Materials Management team! Aspen Valley Hospital is looking for a mature and talented person to join our team as the OR purchasing agent. This is a new position to the organization, and our ideal candidate will have previous experience in a Healthcare environment, basic knowledge of purchasing techniques # procedures, the ability to lift 30 lbs unassisted, attention to detail, a team player, and the ability to work with many different personality styles.# This position is eligible for Medical, Dental, Vision, Paid Time Off, and Retirement Savings Benefits.# Job Overview: The OR Purchasing agent will handle all aspects of supply chain located in the Perioperative Department including but not limited to: inventory, purchasing, expiration dates, and new product research.# In addition to Material#s, processes this position will assist the OR staff with tasks including room turnover, validate charges, pulling cases, and assist with tissue tracking workflow.# # Primary Scope of Responsibilities: # Research and order products Stock rooms and refill supply automation system Managing Outdates Contacting Reps for Cases Managing new product process Work with Biomed on repair of equipment Eliminate unused products Set up trials for new products Assist with room turnover Managing all inventory in and out of supply automation system Cross trained in the warehouse and inventory tech positions. Work closely with the OR Director on efficiency processes. Gather and track data regarding missing items Assist in the validation of charges in a case by answering questions related to dispensing and return of items Research and set up Capital purchase items and the trials that go alone with them Other duties may be assigned that are relevant to the position for operational performance. # Minimum Qualifications: 1-3 years of purchasing experience in a healthcare environment preferred.
