Job Duties: Provide comprehensive and continuing medical care for patients from Infants, Children, Adolescent, Adults, and Geriatric Performing physical examinations of sick and well visits; performing pre-athletic examinations; administering vaccines and immunizing agents as required; prescribing and administering treatment, such as treatment for colds, infectious diseases, common allergies, and emergency treatment for minor illnesses and injuries; performing emergency treatment in cases of serious illness or injury and recommending arrangements to the nearest hospital. Shall prepare and document appropriate history, physical examinations and diagnosis. The HCP shall perform peer review, chart review, and other quality assurance functions as required to meet the standards of the Joint Commission. Minimum Qualifications: Education: Completion of the following: Bachelor Degree- graduated from a Physician Assistant educational program accredited by the Committee of Allied Health Education and Accreditation (CAHEA) on behalf of the American Medical Association (AMA) Experience: Must have at least two (2) years in the last five (5) working as a Physician Assistant in a primary care/family medicine setting, preferably in urgent care with a focus on Orthopedics Security: National Background Investigation Must be a US citizen Must have reliable transportation to and from work site License/Certification and Training: Current Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) from the American Heart Association Current certification as a Physician Assistant with the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) Current State Licensure to practice as a Physician Assistant in any US state, District of Columbia or Puerto Rico Current Drug Enforcement Agency registration (DEA) Schedule: Monday to Friday 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM No On-Call, No Federal holidays required
