Tenure-Track Assistant Professor, Department of Computer ScienceThe George Mason University Department of Computer Science, within the Volgenau School of Engineering, invites applications for the position of tenure-track assistant professor beginning fall 2019. Exceptionally strong senior candidates may also be considered, and must have an established record of outstanding research and excellent teaching. Such candidates will be eligible for tenured associate professor or professor positions. Required Qualifications: Applicants must have received a PhD in computer science or a related field by the start date of the position and should have demonstrated potential for excellence and productivity in research, and a commitment to high-quality teaching. Preferred Qualifications: While applicants in all areas of computer science will be given serious consideration, we are particularly interested in candidates in the areas of software engineering, programming languages, and human-computer interaction.
