This is a great opportunity for recent civil engineering or geotechnical engineering bachelors or masters degree graduates. Entry Level Field Engineer Qualifications and Experience Requirements: - Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering or closely related field - Engineering in Training, EIT Certification or ability to obtain EIT in the near future - Must be comfortable working out on project sites in the field - Physically able to regularly lift and /or move up to 75 lbs. - Must be insurable under company vehicle policy The successful candidate will be encouraged to expand their skills and certifications through company provided in-house training and mentoring. Entry Level Field Engineer Role and Responsibilities: As an entry level Field Engineer you will conduct field and laboratory studies within the geotechnical and materials testing divisions. You will perform QA/QC field observations while work is in progress following design reports and documents, collecting samples using a gauge to determine moisture density content, and delivering samples for laboratory testing. During the testing and observation process, prepare accurate and detailed documentation and submit daily for review. As an Field Engineer you will use your knowledge and apply it to actual work in the field. You will assist with laboratory material testing, conduct field and laboratory studies within the geotechnical and materials testing divisions. You will progress into performing routine inspection and testing of construction materials in the field, in order to verify conformance to construction plans and specifications, engineering calculations, analysis and report preparation. You will have the opportunity to progress into performing engineering calculations, analysis and report preparation. The Field Engineer will report directly to the Project or Branch Manager.
