U.S. Bank is seeking a Sr. Information Security Engineer with demonstrated competence and thought leadership capability to contribute toward the success of our technology initiatives. The Information Security Engineer implements and supports solutions/technologies for vulnerability management. Primary Responsibilities: ? Performs the daily operation and execution of security-related tools and process for the US Bank vulnerability management program. ? Drive the overall execution of key initiatives, identify needs, champion best practices and lead quality improvement projects. ? Educates, trains, and supports end-users and ISS staff in good security practices and procedures. ? Helps coordinate and drive remediation of identified false positives and tool deficiencies. ? Supports and participates in incident response and technical investigations with vulnerability management tools and processes. ? Looks for ways to optimize security processes and recommend opportunities and solutions for improvement and automation. ? Serves as technical subject matter expert for tools and processes used by the vulnerability management team. ? Directs and leads development, implementation, and enforcement of organization-wide security standards, and procedures in compliance with policy. ? Ensures adherence to compliance regulations and policies. ? Provides guidance to other staff as appropriate. ? Able to provide metrics to show the state of the program **Qualifications:** Basic Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Science, or equivalent work experience - Five or more year of experience in information security - Two or more years of experience in IT infrastructure management, application architecture, risk management, middleware technology, and IT project management Preferred Skills/Experience - Working knowledge of IT environment including service-oriented and IT architecture, industry trends and direction, system and technology integration, and IT standards, procedures and policies, and emerging technologies - Basic knowledge of IT audit and control, governance, asset management, software licensing, product and vendor evaluation, and training delivery - Extensive knowledge of technical troubleshooting - Working knowledge of IT systems management including change control, software process improvement, and technical writing/documentation - Basic knowledge of information assurance - Working knowledge of information security architecture, security technologies, administration, audits, network and internet security, and computer crime - Working proficiency of various technology tools - Ability to work cooperatively and professionally with co-workers, customers and management - Strong verbal and written communication skills **Job:** Information Technology **Primary Location:** Oregon-OR-Portland **Shift:** 1st - Daytime **Average Hours Per Week:** 40 **Requisition ID:** 180046115 **Other Locations:** United States U.S. Bank is an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to creating a diverse workforce.U.S. Bank is an equal opportunity employer committed to creating a diverse workforce.
