Qualis Corporation is seeking a Conventional Army Subject Matter Expert (SME) to advise and assist in the integration of conventional Army Training events into PACAF exercises. The Conventional Army SME shall assist in drafting Desired Learning Objectives (DLO) in order to integrate conventional Army units into major flying exercises, develop training scenarios enabling participants to gain DLOs to meet accredited Universal Joint Tasks and Joint Mission Essential Tasks. The Conventional Army SME will support HQ PACAF/A3TW. HQ PACAF/A3TW provides Major Command (MAJCOM) Level programmatic and budget oversight that includes acquiring, deploying, testing, operating and maintaining live training support systems and infrastructure for operational testing and air combat training within Alaska and the Indo-Pacific Region. A3TW is also responsible for ensuring conventional Army subject matter expertise is present in the operations planning team to provide planning and training coordination critical to enhancing relevant joint context for the RF-A Large Force Exercises (LFEs). Location of task performance will be Eielson AFB, AK. Key Duties and Responsibilities -- The Conventional Army SME will observe training of the conventional Army units during key events focused on Joint Fires, Major Combat Operations, SOF/Conventional Forces Integration, Interoperability, and Interdependence and contribute to mission debriefs and exercise after action reports. Responsibilities include: * Development and publishing training plans, Concept of Operations, and Range Safety plans to enable units to meet all administrative requirements for training. * Recommend required forces via JNTC and estimated funding from Joint Training Coordination Program (JTCP) in order to enable training of conventional Army units not organic to the USAF (artillery, mortars, rockets, helicopter gunships). * Coordinate the scheduling of range schedule training lands. * Assist in the reception and bed down of conventional Army units. * Coordinate support from US Army Alaska, DoD, and non-government agencies as required. * Serve as the Exercise Control Group Point of Contact and interface between the conventional Army units, White Forces and Blue Forces participants. * Provide operational and logistic support when required. * Collect lessons learned and best practices during execution to assist the RF-A Lessons Learned/Assessments SME in writing the exercise After Action Reports and assist the RF-A Joint National Training Capability (JNTC) Liaison in capturing training, lessons and highlights for inclusion in the JNTC After Action Reports. Minimum Requirements -- * Master's degree in engineering with 10 years of experience required. Experience for education may be substituted with government approval. * Knowledge and understanding of tactical integration of maneuver and airpower. * Knowledge on training management and training development in support of Army maneuver operations. * Knowledge of After Action Reports and Lessons Learned processes for Department of Defense. * Applicants should have highly developed interpersonal skills permitting productive interaction with technical and non-technical professionals. * Extensive experience with Microsoft Office applications is required. * Applicants must be able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing. * Travel is estimated at 10% annually. * U.S. citizenship is required.
