FTE: 0.500000 1.0 FTE is Full-Time, any position less than 1.0 FTE is Part-Time, and .001 FTE is Optional Part-Time Positions with an "FTE" (full time equivalency) of .875 - 1.0 are eligible for full-time medical, dental and vision benefits. Positions with an "FTE" of .5 - .874 are eligible for part-time pro-rated medical, dental and vision benefits Shift: 1 Responsibilities: Responsible for the management of a designated patient admissions. Assumes responsibility for coordination of the discharge plan based on interdisciplinary coordination in accordance with established policies and procedures to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Assumes responsibility for assessing all designated hospital admissions for medical necessity based on clinical severity of illness and intensity of service utilizing evidence based hospital clinical screening criteria. Other duties as assigned. Summary: A minimum of five years of acute care nursing experience is required. A minimum of two years of clinical practice in designated specialty is preferred. Prior utilization management or case management experience is preferred. Professional knowledge of nursing theory and practice at a level normally acquired through completion of a minimum of two years education at an accredited School of Nursing in order to be eligible for licensure as a Registered Nurse is required. Bachelor's degree is preferred. Requires current state of Wisconsin Registered Nurse License or a Multi-state Nursing License from a participating state in the NLC (Nurse Licensure Compact). Other information: Analytical skills necessary to assess patient's discharge needs and develop solutions to problems concerning patients' mental status or physical well-being to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Interpersonal skills necessary to instruct and maintain effective contacts with a variety of hospital personnel.
