Position: Senior Construction Project Manager / Project Executive Location: San Jose, CA Our thriving Silicon Valley office is presently in need of a Senior Construction Project Manager / Project Executive with considerable large scale High Rise, Hospitality, Healthcare, Higher Education, Multifamily, Commercial or Public Works ground up construction project experience. The leadership provided by the Senior Construction Project Manager / Project Executive is critical to the success of any construction project. Senior Construction Project Managers / Project Executives are responsible for managing and coordinating construction project resources, staff, schedules and project documentation. Responsibilities: Represent the Construction General Contractor in a positive and professional way with Owners, Architects, Consultants, Subcontractors and Vendors. Manage and guide financial aspects of the contract, issue subcontracts and other budgetary categories, including oversight of project billings, change orders and purchasing. Cultivate and maintain working relationships with clients and subcontractors that lead to repeat partnership opportunities. Project bidding and buyout, start-up, construction management and close-out. Meeting coordination, leadership, documentation and follow-up. Hiring, mentoring and leadership of subordinate staff. Communicate in a productive, professional and diplomatic manner at all levels. Implement and manage quality control procedures. Manage subcontractor procurement, submittals, RFIs, change orders and claim/risk avoidance. Qualifications: Bachelors Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or similar discipline. Minimum of 20+ years of ground up vertical construction management experience Ideal candidates will have considerable large scale High Rise, Hospitality, Healthcare, Higher Education, Multifamily, Commercial or Public Works ground up construction project background and experience. Prior oversight of construction contracts of $25MM or more is preferred. Excellent organizational, management, communication and diplomacy skills. Proficient at all aspects of Microsoft Office, Procore, MS Project, P6. Experience with budget creation and maintenance on projects of a size of $25MM or more. Experience creating bid packages, leveling bids and writing subcontract scopes of work. Experience managing project teams of 2 to 5 staff members. Type I building construction experience is strongly preferred.
