Theideal candidate has at least 5 year's experience physical therapy experiencewith both inpatient and outpatient settings. EssentialFunctionsConfirms and interprets physician referrals for PhysicalTherapy Services and consults physician as needed for clarification orrecommended change.Administers and documents evaluation and treatment planappropriate to patient condition and diagnosis with regular reassessmentsduring the course of treatment. Works closely with physical therapy assistantsto assure the established plan of care is followed.Documents daily progress notes and discharge summaries andadministers treatment according to policy.Performs patient treatment of assigned caseload pertreatment plan; utilizing clinical judgment and procedures within the scope ofPhysical Therapy practiceRe-evaluates and adjusts treatment plans and goals on anongoing basis for each patient.Assumes responsibility of other staff members in theirabsence and assists them when caseload allowsInstructs patients and caregivers regarding safety issues,Home Exercise Programs, etc. as indicated.Supervises and assists with job training and clinicaleducation, daily work activities of physical therapy assistants, rehab aides,physical therapy students and physical therapy assistant students. Worksclosely with physical therapy assistants to ensure quality care to assignedpatients. Completes 8th visit follow up treatment with appropriate patients.Minimum Work ExperiencePrefer5+ years' of Physical Therapy experienceMinimum Education/CredentialsGraduateof an APTA accredited school of Physical Therapy. Responsiblefor maintaining continued education requirements for licensure as required bystate law. Current South Carolina Physical Therapy license.
