Position Summary

Odyssey Systems has an exciting new opportunity for an Operational SME (JFMCC)supporting the USSTRATCOM J7 Division. Their mission is to Manage the USSTRATCOM Commander's Joint Exercises, Training, and Assessments programs to ensure readiness to perform the Command missions. The Operational SME (JFMCC) will support exercise and wargame planning and execution.

Responsibilities

Duties include, but not limited to:

Provide support to Joint Exercises and Wargame Events
Support planning, developing, executing, and analysis for joint exercises and wargames
Assist in the development, coordination, and management of the plan of action and milestones (POA&M) to track key actions and deliverable dates foreach designated event's life cycle
Support conferences and other milestone events such as the Concept Development Conference (CDC); Initial Planning Conference (IPC); Mid-Planning Conference (MPC); Final Planning Conference (FPC); and Master Scenario Event List (MSEL) Synchronization Conference (SYNCH)
Chair planning work groups as determined by the joint exercise or wargame lead planner and Branch Chief to: Develop training objectives and design joint exercise or wargame event scenarios
Develop Master Scenario Events and implementers in the accomplishment of training objectives
Command and CJCS Emergency action messages, phone calls, e-mails, media queries, media reports (video and written), letters, radio traffic, conference role-player scripts, orders, Geographic Combatant Commands (GCC) daily Air Tasking Orders, requests for forces, force allocation and positioning, Interagency reports, notifications, meeting minutes, speeches, press releases, social media injects and other inputs designed to simulate a realistic geopolitical background


Create exercise documents e.g., Exercise Initiating Directive, the JECG Exercise Control Plan, the Exercise Directive (EXDIR), Exercise Plan (EXPLAN), the Joint Manning Document and the Significant Military Exercise Briefs
Create responses to Requests for Information (RFI) from exercise or wargame training audiences or participants
Coordinate with USSTRATCOM Joint Directorates (JDIRs), USSTRATCOM components, CCMDs, and any other organizations participating in USSTRATCOM exercises to capture FTX deployment/re-deployment requirements.
Show proficiency in the use of the JOPES, the JTIMS, and the USTRANSCOM Single Mobility System (SMS)
Support development of exercise or wargame event Collection Management Strategy and Collection Management Plan that outlines the process and procedures for the collection of data and observations
Observe, document, and gather observations and issues during exercises and events
Facilitate after action reviews during and following the exercise or event
Analyze observations to collate into command actionable issues, and produce/publish reports
Support briefings and written analyses for General/Flag Officers and senior civilian personnel on matters relating to lessons learned and issue resolution
Support publication, release, and management of collected issues within JLLIS
Utilize the Joint Training Information Management System (JTIMS)

Qualifications

TOP SECRET/SCI Clearance
7 years of experience with Joint doctrine and planning processes as well as end-to-end operations and processes from National-level decision making through Unit-level execution

Preferred Qualifications:

Top Secret clearance with eligibility for SCI, Nuclear Command and Control/Extremely Sensitive Information (NC2/ESI), and Special Access Program (SAP) security accesses
