The successful candidate will have a strong foundation in transcription regulation in cancer. The candidate will be expected to design, plan and execute biological studies for identifying new targets and to support drug discovery projects from target identification to nomination of development candidates in various oncology indications. The candidate will be expected to work closely with other functions such as Bioinformatics, Biochemistry, Chemistry and Pharmacology to coordinate the progress of projects. The scope of work will involve collaborative work with academic centers and business partners as well.This position requires a PhD in biology, a solid understanding in Epigenetics and Transcription Regulation and at least 5 years of productive research experience. Experience in pharmaceutical industry is a plus.Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:Proficient in cell biology including shRNA and CRISPR technologies as well as semi-HTS cell-based screens Experience in target validation, functional and biomarker cell-based assay development. Contribute significantly to the progress of project to development candidate nomination Experience in epigenetic profiling studies (DNA methylation, RNA-sequencing, ChIP-sequencing and ATAC-sequencing) and strong knowledge in enhancer-mediated regulation of the genome is highly desired. Highly motivated, innovative and strong team player. Excellent time management and organizational skill. Strong communication skills, both written and oral. Strong ability to work in a fast-paced environment is essential. Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a demonstrated ability for creative thinking and problem solving.Skills/Knowledge Required:Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline with at least 12 years work experience or Master's degree with at least 10 years work experience.
