Job Summary Functions as a technical specialist or in a lead role. Under general direction, develops and applies advanced engineering techniques, concepts and approaches to complex engineering problems. May provide technical guidance over a group or supervise engineering staff on projects of low to medium complexity. May be responsible for developing, validating, and presenting specialist/technical output. Key Responsibilities Assigned to projects for U.S. Government Agency/Department clients.
---Field site visit and acquiring information for model..
---Create models from scratch (> 500 busses) and perform model data entry (can complete a project independently, if required)
---Contact utilities and clients for requisite information.
---Lead a team of designers and provide oversight.
---Analyze computer outputs.
---Technical report writing.
---Presentation to high-level clients and respond to client review comments.
---Time management of performance/oversight of simultaneous projects.
---Mentors junior/staff engineers and designers in electrical studies.
---Creates and documents best practices and looks for process improvements.
---Development of Levels of Effort and design approaches.
---Supports project management and project controls with budgeting and scheduling.
---Pushes capabilities and skillsets forward to meet market demands.
---Embraces new technology and becomes proficient in Bluebeam and potentially Revit. Management Responsibilities Preferred Qualifications Assigned to projects for U.S. Government Agency/Department clients. Candidate must be a U.S. Citizen.
Successful candidate's credentials will include:
---PE License (required).
---Security clearance (preferred).
---Masters in Electrical Engineering with a Power emphasis (preferred). Minimum Qualifications Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering from either a recognized accredited program in their home country or the country in which the professional is practicing. Minimum of 8 years related work experience. All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all of the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations.
